Welcome to Fruitful Vine Home: Cultivating Harvest, Health and Home

Fruitful Vine Home

I’m so glad you’re here! This blog has been a long time coming, and I hope that you will find inspiration and encouragement to cultivate a fruitful harvest, a healthy lifestyle, and a home that nurtures those who live in it.

A Fruitful Harvest

One of my greatest joys is to walk out to the garden and “pick” our dinner. A close second is to go into my pantry in the middle of winter and find the garden preserved and waiting for me to make something delicious just like grandma used to make. Having these skills have proven to be a blessing a thousand times over for my family, not just for a yummy table, but also as an added security for when hard times arise. From garden planning and chickens to preserving the harvest and everything in between, you’ll find tips, recipes, full menu and meal plans and inspiration to put good food on the table to enjoy.

A Healthy Lifestyle

What good is a beautiful life without the health to enjoy it? While I am not what someone would refer to as ‘crunchy’, I am on a journey to live a wholesome, healthy life in body, mind and spirit. I learned the hard way that as a wife and mom, your health is your wealth! Whether it’s something as simple as hydration, nutrition and getting good sleep or as complex as addressing toxic thinking, saying “no” to hustle culture and dealing with trauma, a healthy lifestyle begins with feeding our spirits and living with intention. My hope is that you will be encouraged on this blog to truly take care of yourself and those around you with love and wisdom.

A Nurturing Home

Everyone has a space they call “HOME”. Maybe it’s a single room, a shelter of some kind, or a large 5 bedroom house, “HOME” should always nurture those who live in it. While my sharing here will center around my own home, I hope my posts will add value no matter what type of abode you find yourself in. I’ve lived in several types of homes throughout my life, most of them rentals until we bought the home we live in now. I didn’t always have the money or resources, skills or permission to make our dwelling look magazine worthy so I worked hard to make our home a nurturing and functional space for all of us who lived in it. From home management to seasonal decor and occasions, I pray you will take what works for you and leave perfectionism in the dust. I pray you will be encouraged and inspired to create spaces that bless you and your family while nourishing your hearts in the process.

Until the next post… keep cultivating!
